How to Choose the Best Gazebo: Part 1
1. Ease and speed of set-up'
To Part 1

In this article we will talk about the lifespan of your folding gazebo and what you need to consider to make your purchase last. A high-quality folding tent is a long-term investment, which is why it is important to check: durability, warranties and certificates; after-sales customer service and insurance options before you buy.

2. Folding Gazebo Durability

Does the price on the price tag correspond to reality?
The cheapest tents often manage to capture the interest of many of us, because of their low price, but how long do they last? There are many testimonials stating that their cheap tents break down after five uses, but let's take one year as an average.

Now let's talk about a high-end gazebo, the price may be significantly higher, but the average lifespan is over 10 years.
Think about having to buy a cheap gazebo every year, because the fabric of the roof keeps tearing, because the set-up is constantly causing difficulties and also because your appearance does not look professional as a result.
You could also buy a high-quality folding gazebo which will last for a very long time, and you could even benefit from a reliable repair service and the option of insuring the folding tent. Which do you think will cost more in the long run? And what suits your needs best?
Also think about the amount of unnecessary waste that is created by buying new products every year!

3. Warranties and Certificates for Gazebos

Making sure that the manufacturing company can provide the right warranties and certificates is very important not only as proof of the quality of the product, but also because certifications are often required when you intend to use tents in public areas or for parties and events. If the company does not have the certificates you risk buying a tent that you will not be authorized to use!

Regarding warranties, the most important ones concern the aluminium structure, in particular:

  • spare parts must be available for a long time (provided the company offers a repair service)
  • the aluminium structure must be guaranteed against corrosion damage.

The most required and therefore indispensable certifications are:

  • TÜV product certification
  • Fire resistance: B, s1, d0 according to European standard DIN EN 13501-1
  • Certification of stability through static calculation according to UNI EN 13782
  • REACH conformity of all materials used in production
  • ECO passport of the ink used for printing

Make sure your gazebo supplier has them and can supply them to you! Also ensure that gazebos are constantly tested for wind resistance.

4. After-Sales Customer Service

Many companies, in order to keep the price lower, decide not to offer any after-sales service and customers are left on their own after the purchase. Rely on someone who can help you even after you have purchased the gazebo in case of unforeseen events!
Make sure that the company you are buying the gazebo from has a reliable after-sales service and that it has contact persons in your country. The company must also provide you with spare parts and repair services if necessary, so we recommend buyin directly from the manufacturing company and not from retailers who can't help you with issues after the purchase.

5. Gazebo Insurance Possibilities

Quality gazebos are a long-term investment and to ensure that unforeseen natural disasters do not force you to spend a lot of money on repairing it or on buying a new one, it is a big advantage if the company you buy the gazebo from offers good insurance services against damage caused by force majeur or other unforeseen events. Besides covering such cases, insurances are also an indication of the company's seriousness and good customer service.
