Test Cabin Passed Practical Test
A small revolution for the daily Corona testing activities.
The Mastertent test cabin has been in use at the private clinic Brixsana, in Brixen, Italy, since the middle of April. People are tested daily for COVID-19. Find out what the surgeon Dr. Alexander Gardetto says about the test cabin.
Protective Sleeves Examined Thoroughly
Dr. Alexander Gardetto reports with satisfactioin about his first experiences. In particular the specially designed protective sleeves were analysed in detail by the surgeon. According to Gardetto, who is practising for 25 years now, gloves have always been a big issue in the operating room. In his opinion, the latest Mastertent solution is great. The protective sleeves have proven themselves from a hygienic as well as a practical point of view.
It Works also Without Protective Suits!
When asked whether the cabin would also pay off financially, Dr. Gardetto answered immediately with "Definitely. After all, the protective suits, which are not only expensive but also in short supply throughout Europe, can finally be saved." Moreover, he added that his employees like to work in the test cabin.
After all, the permanent wearing of protective suits made their daily work considerably more difficult.
Dr Gardetto Gazes into the Future
Medical specialist Dr. Alexander Gardetto also praises the quick and easy assembly and disassembly of the cabin and talks about his vision of offering Corona tests in various villages and public places in the future.
Indoor Practice Test Passed too
Meanwhile a test cabin has also been set up in the interior of the Italian hospital in Schlanders. Dr. Christoph Alber, Head of the Nursing Care Division, has sent us his first impressions.
His first sentence? "The smear test booth fully serves its purpose." Additionally, he pointed out that the cabin is disinfected several times per day inside the tent as well as on the outside walls. His initial doubts that the fabric might lose its colour fastness or that the PVC might even dissolve were eliminated. The disinfectants did not cause any discolouration or material dissolution.
Besides, Dr. Alber affirms that the cabin makes it possible to save numerous protective suits, but still appropriately protects the employees.
Thus our test cabin has now passed the practical test twice.
Where the Test Cabins are in Use as well
The 1.5x1.5 m test cabin has already been installed in the interior of the hospital in Merano, Italy. One test cabin was even sold to faraway Finland. An industrial company in Lombardy confirms that the test cabins are not only suitable for use in the medical sector. There, two test cabins were installed as fever measuring stations in front of the entrance to the factory.
Our Conclusion on the Successful Tests
We were able to realise our vision of creating new room solutions for Corona requirements on the one hand, and making the work of the COVID-19 heroes easier on the other hand, at both hospitals. The entire Mastertent team is delighted about this. But we will, of course, continue to work on it and fight COVID-19 with all means.
